“Look, mate,” he spat out acerbically. “I don’t need you lecturing me about going off the grid. I’m not an idiot; I know all about the job. I bloody lived it for three years, with Bobbi. You haven’t got a bloody clue what you’re talking about, and if I were you, I’d piss off while you’re ahead.”

clint’s fists were clenched, shaking, and it was taking every ounce of restraint he had not to start throwing punches. because this wasn’t fair. this wasn’t okay. maybe it all went back to growing up in a dysfunctional house, but the idea of treating your spouse with anything less than at least respect, it wasn’t okay. did clint know the whole story with them ?? no. so maybe he shouldn’t be talking. but he was getting angry.
